Family

Spreckels Pavilion, Balboa Park Family

One of the most rewarding feelings in photography is getting to capture the same family over a course of years and watch them grow and change. This is the fourth year I’ve shot the K family. The youngest is no longer a toddler; he’s getting so big now. We shot at Spreckels Pavilion in Balboa Park, one of my favorite San Diego locations.

Happy Mother's Day! 2020

To all the mamas around the world-in our memories, in our presence, in secret or in the future-happy Mother’s Day. The world is a more loving, kind and welcoming place because of your selflessness, strength, resilience and grace. From Deer Trail Photography and all the kiddos, we wish you the best day celebrating YOU!

“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all’” (Proverbs 31 28-29).

Del Mar Heights Family

One Paseo is a new mall in Del Mar Heights that I absolutely ADORE. Not only do they have adorable local businesses and yummy eats, but they have such a cute aesthetic, too! The whole strip is basically a black and white farmhouse aesthetic that I am totally in love with. It’s perfect for alllll your urban portrait session dreams. Influencers, seniors, headshots, families, couples…you name it. Definitely one of my favorite San Diego spots now! You have to visit when you get a chance-it’s kid friendly and photo friendly, haha! :)

This is the third year I’ve gotten to take this family’s Christmas photos and it’s crazy to compare the year’s growth and ways their sweet family has grown and changed.

Old Cactus Garden Maternity Family

This maternity session has my heart! We spent this afternoon at the Old Cactus Garden in Balboa. Pregnancy is such an amazing miracle and I’m so honored I got to capture this special season of their lives for them.

Felicita Park Mini Family

Merry Christmas, lovelies! I hope you all had a beautiful holiday this year. This is the beautiful B family, and we caught some gorgeous golden sunset light as they got their New Year’s photos taken here at Felicita Park, my favorite spot for family sessions. One of the coolest parts about living in San Diego is that we can take photos like this in mid-December without wearing huge heavy winter coats! Can’t get enough of that year-round sunshine. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else!
